The Wells Family Resource Center has been implementing the Pyramid Model in their classrooms since 2012. Teachers and Administration have reported that challenging behaviors decrease when the Pyramid Model is in place because the classroom has worked towards creating positive relationships and environments that promote identification of feelings and problem solving. When challenging behaviors do arise teachers are able to use the Pyramid Model tools, such as data collection, to better analyze the function of the child’s behavior in order to provide an appropriate and effective intervention. Teachers are less stressed and students are learning more with the implementation of the Pyramid Model.
